Trek Information
Be prepared for 4-5 hours in the saddle - as such comfortable trousers
should be worn. We recommend jodhpurs, tracksuit bottoms or leggings -
jeans will wrinkle and give you chapped legs. Boots or sturdy shoes with
a slight heel are essential - trainers are dangerous for riding. Be
prepared for the Scottish climate - a strong fairly close fitting
waterproof jacket and waterproof trousers are a must. Gloves and a warm
jumper are also recommended. A packed lunch is needed for full day
treks. Weight limit is 12 and a half stone (79kg). Riding hats
are provided but trekkers may bring their own as long as they meet the
current British Standard PASO15/BSEN1384.
