Beginner and Novice Afternoon Trek (suspended for adult trekkers due to covid-19 regulations)
These treks last 1-1½ hours and are aimed at beginner and novice riders, although more advanced riders are welcome to join if they are happy to ride at a slower pace. These are also ideal for children over 8 years of age who are ready to ride off the lead rein.*
1 -1½ hour Beginner and Novice Trek
£25 (£20 for students and under 18s)
Trek starts at 1:30pm
Short lead rein rides for children* or those who have never ridden and are a little nervous but would like to give it a try can be arranged on request throughout the year.
30-45 minutes £15 per person
Trek starts at 3:30pm
Pootles will stop for winter when the clocks change in October, and restart around mid-February.
Advanced and Intermediate Morning Trek
Our morning treks are suitable for adults and children over 12 who are advanced and intermediate trekkers. The ride will involve some cantering. You will be in the saddle for 2 - 3 hours.
2-3 hour Advanced and Intermediate Trek
£35 (£30 for students and under 18s)

Our reservoir treks run for a limited time** after the Easter break (April and May). These 6 hour long treks are suitable for advanced riders only, and there will be a lunch break half way. The reservoir treks are a great way to explore Bonaly and Glencorse reservoirs and enjoy the splendid scenery just out side of Edinburgh.
6 hour Reservoir Trek (Advanced riders only)
Trek starts at 9:30 am
** dates vary from year to year and places are limited
2020 reservoir trek dates: 26/04, 2/05, 10/05, 16/05, 24/05
The standard morning and afternoon treks will not run on those days.
