Our Veteran Herd

We have trekked with many ponies over the years, and would like to remember them and thank them as they enjoy their retirements. We love getting updates about how they are all getting on!

Iota

Iota retired in the summer of 2020 a few months after Howdid and Cicero. He’s loving life up north in Aberdeen

Ollie

Cicero

- Reg. No. 178/6 (Collabear Cicero) retired at the start of Summer 2020 to his previous owner. He's now being spoilt rotten and doing light hacking.

Chakotay

Reg. No. 309/3 Chak trekked with us from 2010 to 2017. He was our smallest pony and a highly skilled escape artist. He is now happily enjoying his retirement.

Howdid

Howdid retired at the start of Summer 2020 to an Ex trek-leader. He's now down in cornwall having a fantastic time.

Freddy

Unregistered (Gaitbarrows Freddy) This handsome chap used to spend his time in conservation grazing. He was taught to trek at the age of 7 and has learnt many lessons (such as sometimes you can't eat). Freddy is now living with a past trek leader.

Whitchit

Reg. No. 276/9 (Cillechuimen Warriewhichit) Once the head mare of the herd, Whitchit now enjoys her days eating as a Conservation Grazing Pony.

Veitch

Reg. No. 93/36 (Heathpool Veitch) Veitch has been a steady and brave leader on our treks for a good many years! He has found his perfect retirement home with an ex Trek Leader.

Marigold

Marigold retired in 2017 to one of our ex-TLs.

Cal

Unregistered (Callanish) Cal was with us from 2007-2019 and was one of our longest standing trekking ponies. He is now enjoying blissful retirement eating all the grass he could possibly dream of.

Geordie

Geordie has recently retired from the section in 2023 and is spending his days resting, relaxing and munching all the grass he wants with an ex-TL!

Honey

Honey retired at the start of 2022 to her previous home with MMT, she's happily living out her days in exmoor!

Jasper

Sprite

Sprite left the section in the summer of 2022 to return to his owners in order to babysit new foals! He's loving his life of luxury up north bringing up the next generation of ponies.

Freia

Freia was one of our longest serving trekking ponies and she stayed with us for 11 years from 2013 to 2024! She has now retired back to live with her old owner.

Barney

Barney trekked with us for 6 years from 2017 to 2023, and was well known as the leader of the herd in his time! He has retired to go live with a former trek leader.

Dan

Dan

Dan was loaned to us by his owner back in 2019 and we have loved trekking with him until he retired in 2023. He has returned to live with his owner for his retirement.

Carli

Carli was a great pootle pony and advanced ride while she trekked with us for 6 years! She has retired to live with a former Trek Leader.
